Privacy Policy
The short version. I'm a one-person coaching business. I collect what I need to coach you safely and to run this website, I don't sell your information, and you can ask me to see, correct or delete it at any time.
This policy explains how I collect, use, store and share personal information when you visit skippacoaching.com or any of my other pages, apply for coaching, book a call, receive emails or text messages from me, or become a client. In this policy, "I", "me" and "Skippa Coaching" mean Simon Agostinelli, and "you" means the person whose information it is. I handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
1. What I collect
- Contact details — your name, email address and phone number, from the application form, the booking page or the free playbook sign-up.
- Your running — goals, target races, training history, and how your week works (work, family, available time).
- Health information — injuries, illnesses, medical conditions, medication where it affects training, and whether a doctor has cleared you to train. I only ask for this because prescribing training without it isn't safe, and I only collect it with your consent.
- Coaching records — your weekly check-ins (including how you're feeling and anything that's gone wrong), your training plan, and notes from our calls.
- Call recordings and transcripts — so I can build your plan from what you actually said. I ask your permission at the start of every call before recording.
- Payment records — what you paid and when. Card details are handled by my payment processors (Whop and Stripe); I never see or store them.
- Messages — anything you send me by email, SMS, Instagram or Facebook.
- Usage data — collected automatically when you use the website: IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, time spent, and the ad or link that brought you there.
2. Why I collect it
- To respond to your application and book, run and follow up calls with you.
- To write your training plan, adjust it as your life changes, and coach you safely.
- To take payment and keep the records the coaching agreement (including the Finish Guarantee) depends on.
- To send you reminders, updates and support by email and SMS.
- To send you useful emails, such as the free playbook and occasional coaching content. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- To understand how the website and my ads perform, and to show my ads to people who have visited the site.
- To meet my legal, tax and insurance obligations.
I don't use your health information for advertising, ever.
3. Cookies, the Meta pixel and advertising
The website uses cookies and similar technologies (including pixel tags) to make the site work, remember your choices, measure traffic, and support advertising:
- Essential cookies — needed for the site and booking tools to work.
- Analytics — to understand which pages people visit and how the site performs.
- Marketing (Meta pixel) — tells Meta (Facebook and Instagram) that someone visited a page or submitted an application, so I can measure my ads and show ads to people who have visited. It does not send Meta your health information or the answers you write in the application form.
My emails may also contain small tracking images that show whether an email was opened or a link was clicked. You can block this by turning off automatic image loading in your email app.
You can refuse cookies in your browser settings (some parts of the site may not work), limit ad tracking on your phone (Limit Ad Tracking on iOS, Opt out of Ads Personalisation on Android), and control ads from Meta at facebook.com/help/568137493302217. Other opt-out tools: youradchoices.com.au, optout.aboutads.info, youronlinechoices.com.
4. Text messages (SMS)
If you give me your mobile number and agree to receive texts, I'll send you messages about your application and booking (confirmations and reminders), coaching check-ins and support, and — only if you've agreed — occasional updates about my coaching. I keep a record of your number and when and how you agreed.
Agreeing to texts is not a condition of buying anything. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time. Reply HELP for help, or email me. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Your mobile number and text-message consent are never shared with or sold to anyone for their marketing. They are only shared with the service providers that technically deliver the messages.
5. Where your information is stored and who can see it
Me. Nobody else works in this business. I use these service providers to run it, and they handle your information on my behalf under their own privacy terms:
- GoHighLevel — website hosting, forms, bookings, email, SMS and client records (privacy policy)
- Google — Forms, Sheets, Drive, Calendar and Meet (privacy policy)
- Notion — training plans (privacy policy)
- Whop — payments (privacy policy)
- Stripe — payments (privacy policy)
- Twilio — text messages (privacy policy)
- Meta Platforms — advertising, and messages you send on Instagram or Facebook (privacy policy)
- Netlify — hosting for some website images (privacy policy)
Some of these providers store data outside Australia, including in the United States. I only use established providers that protect personal information to a standard comparable to Australian law.
I don't sell your information and I don't share it with anyone else unless you ask me to, the law requires it, or it's needed to protect someone's safety. If the business is ever sold, your information may transfer to the new owner, and I'll tell you before that happens.
Your story and results. I will never use your name, photos, results or story publicly without asking you first. You can say no, and saying no changes nothing about your coaching.
6. How long I keep it
- Clients — coaching, health and payment records for up to seven years after coaching ends, because that's how long the guarantee, tax and insurance may need them.
- Applicants who don't become clients — deleted within twelve months.
- Email and SMS marketing — until you unsubscribe or reply STOP.
- Website analytics and advertising data — up to 24 months.
After that, I delete or de-identify it. Copies may remain in backups for a short time until they're routinely cleared.
7. Your choices and rights
Email me at [email protected] to:
- see the personal information I hold about you
- correct anything that's wrong
- ask me to delete it (unless I'm legally required to keep it)
- stop marketing emails or texts (every email also has an unsubscribe link, and you can reply STOP to any text)
I'll respond within 30 days, usually much sooner.
8. Security
Your information sits in password-protected accounts with two-factor authentication where available. I take it seriously, but no system is completely secure and I can't guarantee it. If a data breach is likely to cause you serious harm, I'll tell you and, where required, the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
9. Under 18s
My coaching and this website are for adults. I don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you think a young person has given me their details, contact me and I'll delete them.
10. Other websites
My pages link to other sites, such as booking tools, Instagram and race websites. I'm not responsible for how those sites handle your information, so check their privacy policies.
11. Complaints
If you're unhappy with how I've handled your information, email me first and I'll try to fix it within 30 days. If you're still not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
12. Changes to this policy
If I update this policy, I'll change the date at the top. If the change matters to current clients, I'll email you before it takes effect.
